Farm is a project space + gallery. Founded in 2005 in Port­land, Ore­gon by Chris­tine Gal­lagher + Susie Nielsen, farm con­tin­ues to grow and evolve. Now located in Well­fleet. farm fea­tures con­tem­po­rary art + design. Farm is also a graphic design stu­dio. We believe in col­lab­o­ra­tion. Our farm­ers are artists, design­ers, cura­tors and edu­ca­tors. Farm exhibits solo 2-d and 3 –d work from con­tem­po­rary artists world­wide. Our front room houses work from var­i­ous artists in farm’s past, present, and future. Please stop by and see us.

FARM project is a process focussed col­lab­o­ra­tion of artists work­ing together to pro­mote change.

Susie Nielsen is the owner/director of farm gallery and project space. Nielsen also does all the graphic design for farm and com­mer­cial and per­sonal projects. She is an artist, designer, edu­ca­tor and cura­tor. Nielsen holds an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design and a BS in Com­mu­ni­ca­tions from North­east­ern Uni­ver­sity. In all of Nielsen’s projects she focuses on the impor­tance of a holis­tic process to achieve the fin­ished project.

Sky Freyss-Cole is a facil­i­ta­tor and process con­sul­tant based in Well­fleet, Mass­a­chu­setts. She stud­ied at the Global Col­lege of Long Island Uni­ver­sity and con­tin­ued on to grad­u­ate from the KaosPi­lots Inter­na­tional School of Project, Process and Busi­ness Design in Den­mark. Sky lived and worked around the world in North and Latin Amer­ica, Europe, Africa and Asia before return­ing to live full-time in her com­mu­nity on Cape Cod. By using reflec­tion, dia­log and par­tic­i­pa­tory lead­er­ship tools in her work, she leads indi­vid­u­als, orga­ni­za­tions and com­mu­ni­ties through processes of change and devel­op­ment. Sky has recently facil­i­tated com­mu­nity vision­ing projects for all ele­men­tary schools in Mass­a­chu­setts’ Nau­set Regional School Dis­trict and she is work­ing for Swedish Dig­i­tal Media School, Hyper Island, facil­i­tat­ing inten­sive edu­ca­tional pro­grams for cre­ative indus­try professionals.

Lee Wother­spoon grew up in Well­fleet and con­sid­ers her­self for­tu­nate to be a prod­uct of the phys­i­cal envi­ron­ment and the artis­tic fam­ily and com­mu­nity who raised her there. After many years away study­ing, trav­el­ling­in­ter­na­tion­ally and pur­su­ing her career in Boston, she returned to make Well­fleet home for her
beau­ti­ful fam­ily. At the heart of this deci­sion is a belief that the type of com­mu­nity she expe­ri­enced as a child can be cre­ated again for her chil­dren. Lee holds a BS in Biol­ogy and a Mas­ter of Pub­lic Health in Social and Behav­ioral Sci­ences. She works to pro­mote systems-level change in the health­care set­ting. She cen­ters
her­self by prac­tic­ing andteach­ing yoga.

Jen­nifer Sub­rin Wit­nauer is writer, per­former and edu­ca­tor. She received her BS from Uni­ver­sity of Ver­mont. She com­pleted course work in sketch and impro­vi­sa­tional com­edy to the high­est level at the Upright Cit­i­zens Brigade The­ater in NYC. Jen­nifer started her pur­suit of edu­cat­ing young peo­ple in the arts with the Ver­mont Farm Youth Corps, a pro­gram that encour­ages the farm­ing tra­di­tion to stay within fam­i­lies for gen­er­a­tions. She has taught actor’s work­shops,
play­writ­ing, improv & sketch com­edy on both coasts, includ­ing the North­west Children’s The­ater & School, and the Cam­bridge Per­for­mance Project. Recently, Jen­nifer has intro­duced the Harold form of Impro­vi­sa­tional com­edy through classes to adults & chil­dren at Wellfleet’s Preser­va­tion Hall.
